Slalom racing scene in my Miami is sizzling! With that in mind I had to update the toys to give myself a fighting chance around the course.
As everyone knows it takes all 3 parts to make it work: great sail, great board and a great fin. Sail was easy – North Warp,
Board was a bit harder, ordered custom from Mike’s Lab, super light, short and thin, had to wait about 4 months, but was well worth
the wait. As for the fins, I had a stash of custom G-10 fins, but since I have lot of positive experience with Ifju formula fins and
carbon fin revolution in slalom is upon us, I ordered 44 cm Ifju for my new board. First thing you notice is the finish and the weight, wow!
But the real proof is on the water, and this fin really delivers, it’s fast and controllable on the high end, super comfortable on all points of attack, planes up on a sneeze and doesn’t spin out even with clump of weeds stuck to it. And as it’s FW design pedigree would dictate, this fin has the RANGE.
Just ordered another one 47 cm XX soft – can’t wait to test that one!
